Re: L19 2011 tournament: PAIRINGS and RESULTS
why does this "bye" guy keep losing but is still allowed to continue
? so unfair ...
reminds me of this "max" guy who never showed up at any exam nor lesson but always had the best grades

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

He's not losing. He beat bye last round.
Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced the sgf.

Re: L19 2011 tournament: PAIRINGS and RESULTS
quantumf and i scheduled our game on Monday, 2030 Johannesburg time ~ 1830 GMT ~ 1930 Prague time. the first timezone is decisive, others are calculated from it (different times always confuse me, so i am never sure about such calculations). and don't mess with summer time, summer time messes with you

that was actually the tricky part... in Czechia it is after the return to winter time. South Africa doesn't use summer time. please figure the rest from the link, i can't provide any better information

Re: L19 2011 tournament: PAIRINGS and RESULTS
i just finished my game with quantumf. opening was balanced, then black tried a little overambitious attack on the lower side, which allowed me to eat some stones, he got influence as a partial compensation but then i managed to neutralise his reduction play and got a comfortable lead, so quantumf resigned
thank you for the game, good luck for the next round

Looks like we missed. It's winter time there, so 8pm CET. It looks like you're still in EDT, so 8pm CET => 3pm for you.
Sorry if you were there last hour and were waiting
I'm waiting now, but will leave in half an hour or so if you don't come.
