Sort of. My KGS rank is now only [1d?] after my latest win so my rank isn't stable yet. This is however the first time I've made it to the dan ranks and since I just registered here yesterday I thought it would make a good introduction.
My name is Josh, I'm 19, and I learned to play Go about two years ago. I played in the New Jersey open earlier this year as AGA 1k and had 1 win and 1 loss (I only played the 2nd day so I was only there for 2 out of 5 games). I just started playing again about 2 weeks ago. I had stopped playing in March as I was feeling discouraged but now that I've started again I'm determined to improve further; so far it's looking good.
I'd like to go to the NJ open again in 2012 and maybe go to the congress for the first time; maybe I'll see some of you there.
Finally 1d.

Re: Finally 1d.
I actually don't live in New Jersey, I live in Connecticut. The drive was kind of long to only play in the tournament for one day so next time, if I can, I'll go for both days.
