This is precisely what happened. Having gotten out of torpor, having done a lot of tsumego recently, I'm slowly getting back into the game and guess what, that got me to 3k so I decided to celebrate... by playing a game ! And this is the pathetic result. To say my opponent toyed with me like a dog his chew toy would be a terrible understatement. Seriously, guys, tell me what I'm doing wrong. I felt like my opening was all wrong but could find no better move at the moment.
First game as a 3k ? Let's lose epicly.

A few comments, not necessarily correct:
- I think you should capture the laddered stone right away. Leaving it around leaves you unequipped to fight in the lower left corner, which you proceed to do with your pincer.
- Locally, I think jumping to C8 is advisable. I can't help but feel your
is neither here nor there - it doesn't enclose the corner, and after you exchange
and
, your
stone loses a lot of its value by being completely undercut.
- I still think capturing the ladder stone is important. You can't start a running fight in this area and not have black be able to pull off a ladder breaker.
- I think black should pincer before jumping.
- Needless. Strengthens white.
- Too slow. You have no need to protect those two stones too strongly; they can be sacrificed. This is another opportunity to capture the ladder stone.
- IMO, sealing in is better for black. Make you flail for life in an enclosed area while loosely connecting all of his groups and gaining massive influence.
Ultimately, I felt white was behind by the time he played
, so I feel the problem must have come either from the joseki choice in the top right (it's not what I would have played but I can't say its wrong),
, or
(inclusive-or).

Food for thought:
1. Cutting on the other side (note lower left is slightly different)
2. Different joseki choice

No, I think you're spot on. That joseki left me with an uncaptured ladder stone which I could capture but that kind of left me vulnerable because if I did capture, my opponent could make a double approach on my lower left corner stone. And then, my pincer in the lower left allowed him to jump towards the upper left, which was exactly his plan.

Double approaches on 3-4 stones aren't that horrible.
