First tournament on Kaya.gs on Saturday, the 14.01.2012

Hi everyone,

Since the server gets better and better every week I think it's time for the first tournament. Here are my thoughts:

End of registration: 14.01.2012, 12.30 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
Start of the tournament: 14.01.2012, 13.00 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
System: Swiss System with handicap
Time settings: 30 minutes absolute
Number of rounds: 5

It's sad, that we only can use absolute time but the most games on the servers are finished with 25 mins so it should be enough. The advantage we have with the absolute time is that we know the time a round ends very well. This makes me to believe in this times:
Round 1: 13.00 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
Round 2: 14.15 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
Round 3: 15.30 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
Round 4: 16.45 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
Round 5: 18.00 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
End of tournament: 19.00 CET (GMT/UTC +1)
This is if all games are played on one day. Of course we can play on both days and/or play with other time settings. Feedback is wanted here, but I guess at Wednesday it should be locked in.

Everyone who wants to take part in the tournament should write so here in this thread.

I sign up either way, but maybe 5 rounds is too much. Lets see how many people are available at that time frame and tweak it a little .

I think 5 round is the minimum for a tournament. I guess the better way if 5 round on one day is to much is to play on Sunday as well. But sure, if we don't have enough players it won't make sense to play 5 rounds or we play a league-like tournament

Yey, a tournament I sign up. I think we can somehow survive five games in one day.

For those who don't have a L19 account and doesn't want to create one for the tournament: When I'm online at the server you can just tell me and I'll write it to keep the overview. (In case the data at my computer gets lost)

Ah what a pity, I really would like to join but exactly on that time I'll be on a RL go tournament

Wouldn't it be possible to move time or days?

If there are others who would like another time it would possible, but I don't want to move to a time were most people can't play.

Besides, if kaya becomes like it should become, this won't be the last tournament I organize
