So now am I up against OtakuViking? Does Nikolas go in another bracket?
Take care,
Dave
Yup, you're against otakuviking. Nik gets another chance in the losers bracket. The winner of the losers bracket faces the winner of the winners bracket in the grand finale. The winners bracket winner starts 1 game ahead and it'll be best of five (i think)

Re: Kuchinashi Tournament (1k-3k)
You guys should post the games you've played here in this thread. It's always fun to be able to play back through and see how the games went.
Should/could also get some discussions going. One of the things that was fun about following the last Kuchinashi, even if I wasn't playing in it!
Also - keep me in the loop with a 4-8k tournament. I'm (theoretically) in that range. (May need to play more on KGS and get a better established rank...)

So it seems there is Phelan, speedchase, myself.
anyone else ?
I would be interested in a 4 - 8kyu tournament.
Someone just needs to set it up and come up with an awesome name for the tournament like this one has.

Re: Kuchinashi Tournament (1k-3k)
I'll have to work this and the next weekend, and I don't know about the weekends thereafter. I'll probably have no time to play, so I have to resign
. I am sorry if I cause any inconvenience by that.

So - who am I supposed to be playing now? Or am I waiting for more to join the loser's bracket?

You're waiting for more to join the losers bracket.
For everyone else, updates would be much appreciated. The games should have at least been scheduled by now ...

Re: Kuchinashi Tournament (1k-3k)
We've gotten off to a slow start but I just sent PMs to everyone with updates so hopefully the tournament will pick up momentum in the next week. Let's say the official start of round two is today, which allows 2 weeks for the series's to be played.

Re: Kuchinashi Tournament (1k-3k)
Me and Dave have started our games. The series kicks off with an incredibly fun and close game with an incredible 304 moves! Not only did it have alot of moves, but it is also the longest game I've ever played time-wise. It took approximately 3h15m to finish!
Territorial style versus Center strategy.
I have put my thoughts and comments in the sgf.
Please enjoy this intense game:)

Re: Kuchinashi Tournament (1k-3k)
Hmmm, I could have sworn I'd posted my first game with RedStick last night. I'll find it and post it later today.
I'm up 1-0 in the series, next game on Wed at 10:30 PM EST.
EDIT: 8 hour pager call last night. Not fun. Anyways, here's the game:
