Greetings from Germany!
I've been playing go for half a year, but lost interest, mostly due to the fact, that none of my real life friends I tried to convince to play go really liked it or kept playing more than a few weeks. I've took a break of more than half a year, but now I'm back and eager to learn a lot more about this beautiful game before i took the break I was around 8k, and after playing a few games I'm positive i didn't lose to much strength. I'm looking forward to improve further and hopefully you guys can help me achieve that

You can also make new friends from playing go. Have you already had a look at the DGoB site? Maybe there is a go playing group nearby your area. Also playing tournaments is much fun.

Moin NinG, die erwähnte Spielabendliste des DGoB ist gut gepflegt. Da gibt’s übrigens auch ein nettes Forum, man muss für die Teilnahme kein DGoB-Mitglied sein.
