I am a fairly new player who knows the rules and has played a bit. The problem is I live in an area of Massachusetts that has little to no go activity that I know of, so my main reason to join is to find people to play (and after I have someone to play with, actually learn)
I prefer playing in real life to servers because nothing beats holding the stone in your fingers, and the noise of the stone on wood, as well as the satisfaction of seeing my ooponents face when they win or lose.
I actually got into go from reading "Hikaru no Go" when I was younger. Tried to get into it, didn't stick as nobody I knew played. Now though, I would like to play again and have more of an inclination to reach out to people.
I live in Pittsfield, Massachusetts so if anybody lives in or near there, it would be nice to play against somebody who is stronger than I am to learn and see how good I actually am (also, where should I put this kind of post in the forum so that more people see it.
I do play KGS but not regularly. On there I am shiron222.
