Does anybody else use Twitter?

I do, just to spread information (random facts, trivia, that sort of thing). I'm @RandomFactDroid. Does anyone else?

I also use Twitter mostly for tech news and go news and Vegan sources.

I have a Twitter account, but I only ever posted to it during the SOPA/PIPA clusterfark. I can very rarely think of anything to post to it otherwise, so I really don't use it much.

I've had a twitter account for a few years now... and may have amassed an amazing dozen tweets. It doesn't seem like a very useful communication tool, for the most part. However, I do follow a few people (and a company) to keep up to date.

Namely, I follow Brandon Sanderson to get all the latest news on A Memory of Light, as soon as possible. And recently I started following Randy Pitchford (as well as the Gearbox account) to get some free golden keys in Borderlands 2. Once the codes dry up, I'll probably stop following them. Brandon Sanderson, though, I will continue to "follow".

Other than that, I much prefer email (or even IM) for communication with people that I actually know.

I've got one, seems to work quite well - I get to find out when a used-telescope-component shop updates their catalogue and I also get to find out what my daughters done at school (the school has an official account). As far as posting/twittering I'd rather hook up my toilet to twitter every time I flush than share the banalities of my existence! - though I was really tempted by some bathroom scales that would twitter away..
