Everybody is in until he has lost two games. The winner of the lower bracket has lost one already, so he is out if he loses another. The winner of the upper bracket has lost none yet, so he is out if and when has been beaten twice.

@Lindentree: On move 33, why not push through at E15?

I managed to come out on top in a grueling game with kodomo. We both miscounted and were sweating bullets, so the final margin had us both scratching our heads.

I managed to win against Magicwand. He had me on the ropes early in the center but let me slip away. Up to :b63: I thought I had been completely outplayed and expected to be captured. I will leave it to the readers to show how White should have died. I am too exhausted to figure it out for myself. :blackeye:

I won on time unfortunately; we both thought Dave still had a few seconds on the clock... We both had time trouble at various points in the game.

I played out an example endgame and White came out a few points ahead, but there are still some complications on the board which I didn't figure out entirely. I guess it could have gone either way.

A repeat of the winner's bracket final then :)

Everything is fully up to date at: http://hiddema.nl/L19.html

As explained by Joaz, we will be playing either one or two games. If I win the first, I win the tournament, but I can afford a loss in that one (since I don't have any losses yet). If I lose, the second game will decide.

Looks like we can finish this nicely before the 2012 tournament starts.

If I understand correctly, this is not actually the final-final. The original idea was that the winner of the brackets becomes the challenger for the L19 title, and plays a series of games with Tabemasu.
