I have been lurking and posting around L19 for a bit, but never properly introduced myself.
I am 35 (this month), and living in Beppu, Japan. I have been playing go on and off since 1999 when I lived in Japan the first time as a JET teacher and was introduced to the game by a Japanese friend.
I played on KGS and IGS under various names, but I don't have a lot of time to devote to full games because of a young child and work. So, recently I have been playing mostly 13X13 on OGS just for fun (I don't have the patience for OGS 19X19 games).
I would really love to find a local player in Beppu who might like to throw down some stones. If anyone is local, please send me a PM. I am about 5K KGS.

Wow, That does look nice! i guess I have to explore more . I have been up to Yufu-in area, but never fully explored all in the mountains. I either have a view of the ocean or of the onsen from my place.
For us, it is more about the onsen since we are closer to downtown, Kannawa and Myoban areas.
