Thanks a lot for the info.

I have a question regarding the comment at move 61, is the proposed alternative really better? Seems like black gets a ponnuki in sente.

I can't answer your question because I don't know the position to which to compare, but I will say that technically that shape is not a ponnuki. :ugeek:

I don't agree that it's not a ponnuki (66 captures a stone).

Presumably the point is that the four-stone ponnuki shape is very efficient, but the bonus stone at m12 makes it less efficient.

but it is more efficient because not only did b capture a stone, but he also got two of the key stones from forcing moves.
