I don't like B4. The slide doesn't make sense when the extension is already taken away. It gives Black the corner without giving you a base. I would tenuki or dive into corner.

I'm not really stronger than you, so take it with a grain of salt : )

Re: 2nd Kuchinashi Tournament (4k-6k)
I am facing a scheduling dilemma here. The time difference between me and Redundant means that neither one of us can play during weekdays. And since this is my last month in Europe, I am have trips planned for the next 3 weekends. I can try to access Internet during this time, but I can't be certain that we can manage to get a game in,
Can you guys wait for 07/17 when I get back to the States? If not I am ok with resigning the series.

It's up to Redundant if he wants to wait or accept your resignation.
But with the delay I'd say it probably makes sense for the loser of your series to be eliminated especially since if they drop to the losers bracket and win it will just result in a rematch. The delay shouldn't be too big a deal though since there will have to be an additional round in the losers bracket anyway. And neither of the two series' has begun yet.

and SoDesuNe. Thanks for your comments. I found your comments very helpful, perhaps because we are about the same strength.

I'm pretty sure if we drop down to the loser's bracket I will be back in the States and in the same timezone. We'd be able to finish games fast then.RedStick wrote:It's up to Redundant if he wants to wait or accept your resignation.

Nikolas73 and I have now played our first game. I took white and Nikolas73 took black. Here's the game:
The result was W+R, so the series is 1-0 to me for now. We will play our next game around 21:00 CEST tomorrow.

Re: 2nd Kuchinashi Tournament (4k-6k)
Sorry for taking so long to report this - Padic and I played game 3 on Thursday, somehow I won by half a point. Padic is leading 2-1 and we will play game 4 tonight at 5pm Pacific (in about 3 and a half hours from this post).
As usual, thanks to Shadonra for reviewing.
Here is the SGF:
EDIT: Oh dear. Sorry Padic, I got our game mixed up with another one - it was supposed to be at 12pm Pacific, not 5pm, right? If you are reading this, please check your KGS messages.
