The almost nearly minimal problem

Post by fanfan »

Hello,

For those who think that the nearly minimal problem is too easy, here is another one that I called "The almost nearly minimal problem".

Question: White to play. Can White place a living stone on the 1-1 of the top left corner?
Subsidiary question: are all the black stones in other corners of some help or not?

Note: It is not a problem for beginner, and I don't know the answsers.

Have fun!

[quote="fanfan"]Hello,

Here is a variation.

Question: Black to play. Can White place a living stone on both the 1-1 of the top left corner and the 1-1 of the bottom right corner?

Note: ko is probably not an option for White since he cannot win a ko fight in both corners.
