I remember reading in a chess book of an incident during a tournament when a professional started saying, "Oh, why do I play this stupid game, what a waste of time!"

I was surprised that someone so strong at the game could break down like that.

Next time you get stressed out while playing Go, remember that the professionals go through the same thing

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. It's pretty natural to be fed up with anything you do all the time. When combined with the stress of competition, it seems like that should be a pretty common reaction. My conclusion is that there must be a lot of filtering going on before getting to that level of competition and that mostly those people are a small minority that can take it (except for that one ;))
