Buying Chinese-size single-convex stones

Post by FlyingAxe »

Does anyone know where I could buy Chinese-size single-convex stones online? Size 5. Can be yunzi, glass, or clay.

Hi,
I cannot see info about size in all these links, but you can try these web based shops (and maybe ask for size info):

Europe based shops:

GO SHOP KEIMA
http://www.goshop-keima.com/playing-material/glass-go-stones/sc-yunzi-gostones-flat-on-one-side

AOBO
http://en.aobo-shop.com/go-game-stones/29-yellow-yunzi-go-game-stones-single-convex-9991921160120.html

HEBSACKER
http://www.hebsacker-verlag.de/china-set-xl-p-4582.html?language=en

USA (I think) based shops:

YELLOW MOUNTAIN IMPORTS
http://www.ymimports.com/collections/go/products/yn-sy012-a

YUTOPIAN
https://www.yutopian.com/yutop/cat?product=SC040&category=S

GO GAME GURU
https://shop.gogameguru.com/cheap-go-game-set/

Please let us know the result of your quest!

Oh WOW, I’d LOVE such a travel set, but sadly they don’t ship to Germany … now I need to find somebody in France, Belgium, the Netherlands or so to whom I could have it delivered …

Thanks, but out of those links only these are Chinese sized: http://en.aobo-shop.com/go-game-stones/ ... 60120.html (although they’re yellow color and a bit on the expensive side).

I have very good experience with the service of both Hebsacker and Keima Goshop.
I think it's worth to try asking them about the size you are looking for. ;-)

A friend of mine some precious stones like these, the agate I mean. He also has several other nice sets.
He (and I too) doesn't like playing with them very much. They don't feel nice between your fingers, are slippery, their beauty comes to life only on some boards, and don't feel and sound nice upon placing on the board. Do not recommend, although it does make a spectacular sight.
