The latest edition of the GoGoD database is now available on http://www.gogodonline.co.uk with almost 92,000 games.

This issue will be especially useful for AI lovers as it contains all the latest AlphaGo and DeepZen games on the one hand and nearly all the "old AI" games of the Shin Fuseki era. Some more of the new Go Seigen games have also been added.

The XML names dictionary, while still a work in progress, has been greatly expanded so that the biographies (over 4,140 entries) now include title wins and second places for over 300 events going back 100 years.

The online version comes with database software for Windows users but SmartGo also incorporates both the database and dictionary. Anders tells me he plans to go to the European Congress this month so look out for him there!
