Need review on Foxy Game - question on variation

Post by negapesuo »

I was playing as white and I think was a overplaying a bit in the game. Basics went out the window but black let me get away with it. I have a question on a variation after W48. Please see below.

Any other feedback will be greatly appreciated!

In your variation, White simply plays the hane at :w1: below. Black has only two liberties and the marked white stones constrain Black's choices. If Black insists on saving the cut stones, White captures at :w7:.
