A tip for doing tsumego

Post by Ian Butler »

Maybe this is a tip that some people will appreciate.
Recently I had developed this real bad habit of reading things on my smartphone during breakfast (and lunch, too, often). This is really bad.
While the optimum is to simply eat during breakfast, and devote your attention to the food you're eating, that's too big a step in one time.

So for now, instead of smartphone, I do tsumego during breakfast. It's really fun and casual for some 10-15 minutes of L&D in the morning :)

I don't really understand, is it better because you watch less the screen?

Oh I see how my post didn't actually include the information that I do the tsumego from a book. So it's better because there's no screen at all.

If you ride a bus or train to work/school, commute time works well, too!

Tried tsumego while driving once - wouldn’t recommend it!
