China-Korea Team Match, the 1st Zhaoshang Dichan Cup

Team China won the match, 6:4, which was held in Shenzhen, China on 3/5-3/7.

Sponsored by a Chinese real estate company (Zhaoshang Dichan), the match featured five players from each team in a two-round event. Team Korea took the lead 3:2 in the first round, but Team China clinched the ultimate victory with 4:1 in the second round. The time control of each game is 2hr45min plus 5 min byoyomi. Prominently missing from the event were Lee Sedol and Lee Changho of Korea and Piao Wenyao (the new 9p and LG Cup Champion) and Chang Hao of China, but overall most top players from both countries participated, including players ranked 2、3、4、6、7、12 from Korea and players ranked 1、2、3、4、8、19 from China.

An interesting fact: In the 2nd round, all five games featured Chinese opening.
