Hi everyone. I know there are quite a few people who are interested in shogi here on this forum, so I thought I'd drop by and let everyone know that we're finally starting a shogi club in Louisiana. Our first meeting will be in Baton Rouge on September 16, at Highland Coffees on the north end of LSU Campus. If you'll be in the area and are interested in shogi, be sure to check us out. Anyone's welcome, whether you know the rules or not.
By the way, LSC will also be hosting a shogi/igo event at the Mechacon anime convention in New Orleans from August 26-28. We'd love if you dropped by to play either game with us. We'll have an igo tournament on Friday, August 26, and a shogi tournament on Saturday, August 27.
