(engl) Books on 9x9 tactics?
Are there any (english) books on 9x9 games? Style of play, tactics, openings, ...?

Re: (engl) Books on 9x9 tactics?
Thanks tchan001, thats the only one I found too, but it was advertised as a introduction to go and the sample pages showed what atari is and how a stone is caputed and such. I got the impression that it is a very elementary book. Maybe someone who has the book can comment on the content?

Re: (engl) Books on 9x9 tactics?
The British Go Journal, available online, had at least 6 articles featuring detailed analysis of games between female pros. Issues 82 through 87. There may be more, but I know there are at least these.

Thanks for the hint, I will check that out.
I also just ordered GoGoD, it has a collection of (pro I guess) 9x9 games.

I have been trying to find something like that too, but there really doesn't seem to be anything of this kind in English. Studying the (few) 9x9 pro games that are available is probably the best choice. The Winter 2010 edition of GoGoD includes 118 games. Go Base also has several. SL has a few amateur-written pages on 9x9 strategy too, though it's not much.
Good tip with the British Go Journal, Horibe. Thanks!

Yes, thanks Horibe. I haven't really appreciated the quality and quantity of stuff freely available in the BGA archives. For completeness though they have a TOC, ordered by category so you can see there are a few more 9x9 items in the archives: (G9 = 9x9)

That was actually the first book on Go that I read. It was a really nice introduction to the game, and I'm glad that's where I started. Also, I personally like how it teaches you everything on 9x9.
It really does cover a lot of stuff on 9x9 games. But as you guessed, for the most part, it's a book for beginners.
