howdy!

Post by thatfluteguy »

Hi everyone! It's nice to meet you all. You can call me Dave, or Bill, or John, or "that guy" - doesn't really matter, so long as you'll play Go with me. =) I haven't played for 3 months (it's been a year since I started, so I guess 9 months playing + 3 months off), so when I got back I started playing not so well again. I was somewhere in the 10-11k range on KGS, but now I think I'm more like 15-17k range. I'm back to that bad phase where I know enough to know my games are brutal and ugly, but not enough to do anything about it. I think this happens in a lot of activities - music, chess (I'm at that point right now there, too), even programming (my job)!

If anyone would like to play a casual/sincere game, I am always up for one. It doesn't matter what medium, though I've found that I prefer rengo, as well as playing in real life.

So... anyone up for rengo? =)

Welcome! Go does seem to attract a lot of programmers. Have you tried writing a go program yet?
