second life go

Post by phillip1882 »

well i have good news and bad news.
bad news first. the official go center for SL, vine land, is permanently down.
funding as well as a bunch of other problems forced the founder, zarf, to close up shop.
the good news is i am hosting a small go club on the side in SL if anyone wants to join. i don't have an official meeting time yet, if you have a preference let me know.

I'm not really into Second life but have you thought about using OpenSIm

http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Grid_List/OSGrid

land is free... and I beleive you can actually serve your own sim which you can connect to the larger grid..

That is quite sad, it was nice to pop-in once in a while. Though I can understand why it went down... it was kind of empty most of the time.
