As the months go by, however, there continues to be significant differences in how the activity occurs so it is not clear what if any meaning should be attached to the fluctuations that we see. On a subjective level, this week has seemed quite quiet to me at least.

Here are the same statistics that I have posted in the past.
February activity for first two weeks and the update of January for the full month. We can see that activity has fallen off more in the second week of February than it did in January. As a result, we are behind January in terms of games played. As the months go by, however, there continues to be significant differences in how the activity occurs so it is not clear what if any meaning should be attached to the fluctuations that we see. On a subjective level, this week has seemed quite quiet to me at least.
Comparison (Nov. '11 - Feb. '12) by class of membership and activity at the end of the second week. We are in a similar condition to January. Beta is quieter than January but that is hardly a surprise given how very active they were last month. Gamma is more active but as usual we can observe a significant difference between the different Gamma classes. Delta is a little quieter but the overall level of active players has hardly change, rather fewer people have qualified yet.
