Very much an insomniac so pretty much live on American time despite living in GMT. Going through that rabid beginner frenzy phase at the moment, far too enthusiastic for my own good. I'm finding the go community to be very helpful and welcoming and this forum a good example of this.
I should probably have done this first!

30, Irish, 2 young children. Very much a beginner and rapidly learning how bad I really am at this game!

Don't worry about it, Irish spellings for words are strange, the pronouciations make even less sense to other Europeans!

How does this work? I always used to take 30 minutes - 2 hours to get to sleep, but after my daughter was born two years ago, I think I haven't had more than 5 days where I've had trouble sleeping.Boidhre wrote:2 young children...Very much an insomniac so pretty much live on American time despite living in GMT.

Short version: I've sleep problems for medical reasons unfortunately. Comes in useful if there is a sick child but beyond that, yes, it makes life very annoying with young children. My wife mostly works afternoons and evenings, my workload is sporadic as I work for the family company on my own hours (it's all back office stuff). I can get my sleep pattern back to normal for about a month at best before it shifts back out again by 5-7 hours. It would make life a lot simpler if I could sleep normally without heavy doses of sedatives.

Greetings,
sorry I didn't answer when you posted the question elsewhere.
Yep, I am the Brivati/buri on KGS. I like the way this annoying spell checker on the new iPad changes KGS to KIA.
You did seem to keep odd hours since I am always playing you on Japanese time.
Now I know why!
Anyways, we are having somle good games and I look forward to many more.
