By my very rough count black is behind by 12. (anyone disagree?) I wouldn't resign until you have another 100 games or so under your belt.

:b32:: push through at B11 (or B10), just like you did with :b54:. Remember this shape (broken shape for White). :)

My count is white win by 20 so I agree :) If I were black I would play to the end. Because I need practice playing out the endgame.

Beginners need to practice closing off their own territory at the end of the game more than they need to practice playing good endgame. In beginners game it often turns out that the territory was not properly defended. This can be unexpected :) Practice is the only solution.

Maybe black will lose this game by 40 points if he is a beginner but still play to the end. The other player shouldn't mind because you can play this game out in 5-10m without any hurry.

Your play is not bad, for 17k. Your main problems are (i) almost every move is slightly inefficient, so you lose maybe 1/2 point on almost every move, and (ii) you follow your opponent around too much, replying directly to everything he does.

I would say 32, as Ed observers, is your first truly serious mistake. The difference between B cutting off these two groups, and W connecting them, is very large. If the groups are connected they already have enough eyes to live right there along the side, but if they are cut off, both white groups are likely to die.

56 is the next mistake I want to point out. Minimizing the territory W can try to control against the edge is vital; hane immediately (K17). At 66, saving that B stone is relatively insignificant, compared to shrinking W's space for eyes. Hane at M19 instead, to see how W replies, before deciding whether you want to connect. Note that a lot of your problems here go back to your move at 20: if you had played 20 at G17, killing W's group would have been much easier.

92: This is a good time to push (j13) and cut (k14). Your wall should help you come out ahead in the ensuing fighting. At 104, you still have a chance to push and cut (although sacrificing L17 is dubious in the first place, imo). In fact, W doesn't bother to fix until 141: that gives you a chance to make an 18 point capture! That's pretty big for this stage in the game.

144: Good job on getting this point first.
