osx?

Post by alexxxmg »

greetings,
I'm fairly new to go, and completely new to internet go.
I discovered KGS at work on my linux machine (lunch break :-) and I am enthusiast...

Yet at home the same evening, on my osx laptop (firefox, Snow Leopard) I was unable to make the java app start... yet I'm sure java is updated!

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask: any other people had a similar problem???

thanks!

OS X 10.7.4 Lion here, and latest Java (v. 7).

Have you checked in Firefox whether Java is enabled? (IIRC it is in “Tools” -> “Plugins”). But IMHO it is definitely better to use the standalone Java app which is downloadable at KGS.

Good luck!

Greetings, Tom

Yes, “CGoban 3 for Java Web Start”.

BTW which Java version are you using? I’m using the latest Java from http://www.java.com/
