Ways to time and journal tsumego progress

I have been thinking about trying to take my tsumego solving up a step, and start timing them. Some of the online portals do this automatically, is there a good way to do this with books. I was thinking either: Seeing how many I could solve in a fixed amount of time, or timing how long it takes to do a fixed number, then record how many I get correct of the ones that I did. Maybe using a stop watch or a game timer.
