I believe that the only way to attain 9 dan in China is to either win or get second place in an international tournament.

It's a bit strange to call Michael Redmond the Bobby Fischer of Go. Unless he was drawing the parallel of an American guy rising up to play against top players of the East (Russians in Fischer's case, East Asians in Redmond's case).

And for the game between the most promising future stars, Na Hyun lost a close game to Jiang Weijie. Definitely the worst weekend we have ever seen from the Korean players. Let's hope they will pick it up in the Bailing Cup.
