- The system could generate an automated list of the most favoritized (does this word even exist?) posts, which would be interesting for new users as an orientation. I am not sure how much this functionality is already covered by sticky threads?
- I don't clutter my bookmark list with many single topics. This is kind of secondary, since I could organize it better

Mark favourite topics (Re: Ideas For Forum Features)
I have recently read some interesting replies to teaching DDK. What I'd really like is some kind of "I like this post" button, which could serve two purposes:
Go is easy: don't play bad moves.

Any thoughts on integrating the GD ladder into the forum system?

Re: Ideas For Forum Features
I've definitely thought about it. If anyone else wants to collaborate, I have some great ideas on how it should work (i.e. integrating with the phpbb3 code), I just lack (a) time [right now] and (b) front-end GUI/HTML experience. But with a little effort we should be able to come up with something pretty seamless.Gresil wrote:Any thoughts on integrating the GD ladder into the forum system?

Re: Ideas For Forum Features
Yeah, that's correct. I guess it would be possible to make a tag such that everything in the tag were compiled into an SGF, but this would be at a "post-by-post" level, and not the comments of the entire thread.mic wrote:As far as I understand, it lacks all the comments of the observers and the players, which is what make this kind of games interesting?Kirby wrote:Your idea is not fully implemented, yet, but SGF hyperlinks have been added to diagrams, so you should be able to download some of the Malkovich diagrams, if you'd like (but it doesn't contain the sequence of moves - just the position, currently).
- Mic
If we somehow could compile the entire thread's posts into an SGF, I'm not exactly sure where it should be available for download (if we could get it to be generated dynamically)...

Re: Ideas For Forum Features
If already suggested, ignore it. Is it possible to have the posts numbered? I know it sounds trivial but referring to a post by number rather than quoting it is sometimes useful, especially when trying to keep track of things in a Robert Jasiek type thread - just kidding.
I'll pay 5 dollars for this feature.

Agreed. And nested indent tags too. ( Supposedly I could do it, I'm sticking to simple admin stuff )Chew Terr wrote:Nested hide tags would be nice, if possible

There's a workaround using nested list instead of nested indent.Joaz Banbeck wrote:Agreed. And nested indent tags too. ( Supposedly I could do it, I'm sticking to simple admin stuff )Chew Terr wrote:Nested hide tags would be nice, if possible
To sig or not to sig, that is the question.

F.Y.I. It appears if you edit you forum preferences to sort descending, that the post numbers get reversed as well. I.E. the last post made chronologically last is listed as post #1.Adrian Petrescu wrote:Your wish is my commandDéjà Vu wrote:If already suggested, ignore it. Re: Ideas For Forum Features
Yeah, getting the products database working would be cool. Also, can you tell now which posts are new since you last visited a thread?
