I have recently read some interesting replies to teaching DDK. What I'd really like is some kind of "I like this post" button, which could serve two purposes:
The system could generate an automated list of the most favoritized (does this word even exist?) posts, which would be interesting for new users as an orientation. I am not sure how much this functionality is already covered by sticky threads?
I don't clutter my bookmark list with many single topics. This is kind of secondary, since I could organize it better

(More seriously, I know I've seen a mod for this somewhere, I just can't find it now.)

I've definitely thought about it. If anyone else wants to collaborate, I have some great ideas on how it should work (i.e. integrating with the phpbb3 code), I just lack (a) time [right now] and (b) front-end GUI/HTML experience. But with a little effort we should be able to come up with something pretty seamless.

As far as I understand, it lacks all the comments of the observers and the players, which is what make this kind of games interesting?

Yeah, that's correct. I guess it would be possible to make a tag such that everything in the tag were compiled into an SGF, but this would be at a "post-by-post" level, and not the comments of the entire thread.
If we somehow could compile the entire thread's posts into an SGF, I'm not exactly sure where it should be available for download (if we could get it to be generated dynamically)...
If already suggested, ignore it. Is it possible to have the posts numbered? I know it sounds trivial but referring to a post by number rather than quoting it is sometimes useful, especially when trying to keep track of things in a Robert Jasiek type thread - just kidding.
I'll pay 5 dollars for this feature.

F.Y.I. It appears if you edit you forum preferences to sort descending, that the post numbers get reversed as well. I.E. the last post made chronologically last is listed as post #1.
User Control Panel -> Board preferences -> Edit display option -> Display post order: descending.

Hmm, whoops I didn't even know you could sort posts descending. I'll definitely fix this, it has to be consistent to be useful!

Yeah, getting the products database working would be cool. Also, can you tell now which posts are new since you last visited a thread?
