Both G3 and H4 can be CUT.

The first question is: can you find a move that CANNOT be CUT.

Hi Ades,

marakula game:

:b13: Maybe better to get out -- extend to o15.
This tiger's mouth -- P17 -- you are boxed in the corner.

:w14: Mis-understand basic shapes.
W must atari at o15. B connects at P16.
Then, W tiger's mouth N14, and B is completely boxed in the corner.

:b15: Wrong shape. Just extend to o15.

:w16: Atari o15.

:w22: just connect N15.

:b27: L16.

:b39: M18. Vital point to kill.

:b45: Not urgent. Look at your weak group at Q10.

:w50: Terrible. Broken shape for W. See small gaps .

:b53: You're hurting your other group at o8.
Maybe better to jump out directly, e.g. N8.

:b57: Basic shape problem. This shape is strange. N8.

OK, G4 cannot be cut. Maybe a bit slow. Other ideas: H5, or F7.

Hi Ades,

xohoho456 game.

:b5: Don't follow your opponent around like a puppy.
The lower left corner is empty -- why not take it.

:w6: The basic shape here is o16 -- o16 is the local shared vital point.

:b7: Mis-understand basic shapes. o16 is the shared vital point after :b5: .
W missed o16 -- you should take it.
Don't follow your opponent around like a puppy.

:b11: The joseki move is extend d15. Study this joseki.

Studying the joseki starting with d15 is worth this game.

Hi Ades,

axel7897 game:

:b9: Study the joseki starting with C3 -- worth this game.

:b13: Very strange to tenuki when W offers you a nice exchange -- block at N4.
Misunderstanding of basic shapes.

Hi Ades, playing games is also very good for your experience, yes.

And yes, Go is very deep. (Much deeper than many people realize. :) )

Hi Ades,

karshin game:

:b4: D6.

:b6: Bad exchange.

:w7: W wants to go up, H5, not down.

:b8: Bad. J6 or J2.

:w23: This local shape is a disaster for Black.
This shape is much worse than toothpaste.

:b32: Big mistake, locally.

:b36: wrong direction. You're hurting your own J3 group.

:w43: Broken shape for Black. See small gap.

:b50: Wrong shape. Atari, then connect.

:w75: Wrong sequence. Throw-in-atari L5, W kills everything here.

All basic shape problems.

:w34: Bad.

:b35: Good. See toothpaste.

:b39: Mis-understand basic shapes. A11.

:b41: Mis-understand basic shapes. B12.

:w68: See toothpaste.

:b93: Q11 vital point. See elephant's eye .
