Operation Overboard [Game #5]

Post by Ian Butler »

We try to keep learning how to fight.
This game, I admit, was rather passive fightning. Only one real (running) fight occured in the game, but that fight is where I got most of my "profit" from, rather reduction of white's territory.
Still, for a fighting account, where I mainly want to learn to fight, this was perhaps too territory-oriented and not aggressive enough. You could help me by pointing at spots where I could've played much more aggressive. But I have a feeling not every game has as many chances to play aggressively. Perhaps I am wrong.

I think I lose because of some rather slow plays, that I should really unlearn at this level. Some of my moves are almost a pass and at the SDK level, you can't do that anymore. so definitely something to keep an eye on.

Other than that, it was a very fun game. I already knew it was gonna be great after four moves. See for yourselves!

Some comments. :)

White played thickly and did not give Black many chances to attack. Black should have cut off White's top right group earlier.
